DeletionEdit

Okay, so now that results are on...I can safely say I have doubts here. The PR might be notable to some extent, but the placings for the most part aren't great at all, and the only two links this guy has on the site are to a doubles and crew battle. I would delete this right away, but there are things like the PR ranking and such, so I feel the best course of action is to open a discussion on it. Note, however, that I am currently neutral about this, and merely posted the tag not out of certainty Holiday shouldn't be on here, but over concerns of how notable he is. Support His rankings are very poor, plus we have no data on any of the people he partnered with. He may have a PR spot, but ultimately, all he does is participate in tourneys without ever leaving an impact. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation 00:16, 19 June 2017 (EDT)

Bump, and if no other opposes, I'll move it to User:Holiday tomorrow night. Serpent   King 02:32, 21 June 2017 (EDT)

Response to DeletionEdit

I created my page just for fun as I really enjoy keeping track of statistics and thought it would be interesting to put them on here. I understand the concern and am fine with removal if its decided to remove it. Although I wanted to say that I have only listed larger scaled tournaments for the most part and little to no locals. I have seen smasher pages with only local results shown giving them higher placements and no nationals. Should they be allowed to be kept? If I change the page to reflect my local results will I be allowed to keep the page? In the end I am fine either way, just wanted to bring up that point. This was merely for fun.

Typically, smashers with really only local results only got articles because of something notable backing them up, such as a large scale PR or the local tournaments are large scale, such as Texas' Shockwave. Assuming I'm understanding what you mean, we record all verifiable tournament placings, including locals and nationals, regardless of what placing they are, so changing what placings you have really wouldn't change anything right now. If the page is ultimately decided to be kept, feel free to add anything that's missing. :P Disaster Flare   (talk) 12:44, 19 June 2017 (EDT)
What if we moved this to your userpage? That's generally where these types of Smasher articles go.  Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 13:52, 19 June 2017 (EDT)
That can also work, but I'll only do that if we have a consensus that he's not notable. Disaster Flare   (talk) 13:53, 19 June 2017 (EDT)
Well, yes, I'm just suggesting this as an alternative to outright deletion if we decide this shouldn't be smasher-spaced.  Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 13:55, 19 June 2017 (EDT)
I would be fine with that, I don't know how you guys determine if somebody is notable or not but I don't think I am notable yet haha. Is there an easy way to transfer this to my user page? I spent like a good 2 hours getting all of my placements from like a year ago on here. Hopefully one day I can be good enough to be considered notable ;) Holiday 8:51, 21 June 2017
Moving this page to your userspace will be easy. As for what passes for notable on here, that's also easy. If you want to learn about what conditions have to be met for notability, see SW:NOTABLE. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation 09:30, 21 June 2017 (EDT)
