Yez is a former Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Ike player from Missouri who is currently living in Tokyo, Japan due to being part of the military and was considered the best Ike player in the world post-pandemic prior to his retirement. He is currently ranked 7th on the Wi-Fi Warrior Rank v7 and 1st on the Springfield Power Rankings. Yez has defeated players such as ApolloKage, Scend, Hurt, Raito, kept, takera, Tsubotsubo, and Meru. Yez has achieved a Smashmate SP rating as high as 2,207.

Controversy/RetirementEdit
On Smashmate, players noted Yez behavior, including the controversy over using the word "GG" (Good Game), which Japan dislikes.[1] This is furthermore proven when Yez had made a few controversial behaviors online, including his frustrations on Japan tournaments[2]; noting a complaint of his match against Kento[3], which Yez DM'd the wrong Twitter account, assuming that it was Kento.[4] This led to some people calling for a ban on Yez in Smashmate due to his toxic behavior, leading Yez to private his Twitter account. Because of the mental health issues, along with the controversies, and the toxic frustrations that went through, he announced his retirement from Smash after February 2023.[5] Despite this announced retirement, he has continued to compete after.
TriviaEdit
- Yez is known for playing games using the player tag "IzAwSmash!" in honor of fellow Smash player Izaw, who serves as Yez's coach. This has led to regular confusion online, with many people assuming that Yez is Izaw.
