Shoghi is a Canadian Smasher from Abbotsford, British Columbia. He is known as the best Ike and Byleth main in Canada. He was previously ranked 4th in the Smash 4 British Columbia Power Rankings , and 8th in the Smash Ultimate rankings. He commonly teams with IrisZ. His notable wins include Captain L, Locus, FoCus, Linden, Grade, Niko4, Ouch!? and EspeonCH. Shoghi started his Smash career playing Marth alongside Dark Pit. After approximately a year, Shoghi began to main Roy, putting aside his Dark Pit in favor of a character that could appeal more to his aggressive nature. With his new main, he rapidly improved, placing well at most every tournament he attended, and was recognized as a contender for the title of the best Roy player in Canada after his placement of 13th at Battle of BC 2. On January 23rd, 2018, Shoghi was sponsored by the professional eSports organization LAGr Gaming. Shoghi started off as an Ike and Robin player in Ultimate, getting many notable wins and placements and most tourneys he attended. In 2020 once quarantine started, he uses Byleth on every Wi-Fi events he attended, which soon transferred to offline once the post-pandemic era was over. At present days he mainly uses Ike and Byleth in tournament settings, with previous characters Robin and Chrom occasionally as counterpicks.
