NyxTheShield is a Chilean professional smasher who mains Mr. Game & Watch in Project M. He is considered to be the best Project M player in Chile and is currently ranked 43rd on PMRank 2022.
Nyx gained notoriety after he successfully created a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mod to have Melee-style wavedash and reduced landing lag, which he eventually dubbed Project NX.[1] This garnered controversy within the Smash community, with many divided over the issue on whether or not modding Ultimate to act like Melee would serve justice. The project was eventually faced with legal pressure by Nintendo and has since ceased all development.
Besides Smash, Nyx is well known for developing modifications and composing music for various fan projects of games like Undertale. He regularly posts music on his YouTube channel and Spotify.
