Skill Super Smash Bros. 4 Top professional

Ixis, also known as IxisNaugus, is a professional smasher in the United Kingdom who mains Sonic in Smash 4 and previously mained Bowser in Brawl. His success within the United Kingdom has led him to become known as the country's best player as well as the best Sonic player in Europe. He has wins over players such as ESAM and Glutonny. He is currently ranked 1st on the England Smash 4 Power Rankings and 3rd on the European Smash 4 Power Rankings.

As the UK's top-ranked player, Ixis has won a large number of tournaments within the country, and had made notable performances on a European scale, with placings such as 9th place at Swedish tournament BEAST 6, where he was eliminated by Sodrek; PPT-S in Germany, where he reached Grand Finals, losing to Abadango; and 4th place at Europe's largest tournament to date, Syndicate 2016. Despite this, Ixis wasn't able to make a major impact outside of the UK - traveling to the USA for Apex 2015 and GENESIS 3 and placing 65th both times - until EVO 2017, where he double eliminated ESAM to make it into top 48. Ixis later returned to the USA to compete at Midwest Mayhem 11, finishing 13th. Thanks to his outstanding placements at European tournaments and good results outside of Europe, he was ranked 89th on the Panda Global Rankings 100, the only smasher from the UK to make it onto the list.

Play style

As a Sonic main, Ixis relies on fast-paced gameplay, and not giving opponents time to think. Ixis's Sonic stands out compared to other Sonic professionals due to his high use of Spin Dash for jumping and landing purposes, even using it for backward momentum.
