D1 is introduced in the Smash Bros. Invitational rules video.
D1 or xD1x is a very well known commentator for Super Smash Bros. Melee from Brooklyn, New York currently residing in Santa Monica, California. His former static commentating partner was Prog.
Perhaps his best accomplishment in terms of his playing career was upsetting PC Chris in pools at Apex 2010 and making his only bracket appearance at a super-major.
Both D1 and Prog were selected to commentate in the Super Smash Bros. Invitational, an event hosted by Nintendo, along with Scar. Their participation was revealed in the form of Smash 4 newcomer-style images. Since then, he has commentated on Smash 4 tournaments as well.
