Smash 4 Boot Camp is an upcoming national Super Smash Bros. for Wii U invitational tournament that will be held on December 7th-10th, 2017. It will be held at the Downtown Grand, will have $10,000 in pot prizes, and will be ran by VGBootCamp. The invitational is similar to Smash Summit, a series of Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournaments with invited players as well as players nominated by Twitter and voted in.

Eligible players
Anyone ranked in the Panda Global Rankings v3 Top 50 and those who placed Top 64 (49th or better) at Super Smash Con 2017, GameTyrant Expo 2017, The Big House 7, or 2GGC: MkLeo Saga were eligible for voting. 152 players were eligible for voting, a few more than Smash Summit 5’s number of eligible players. The 16 with the most Twitter nominations progressed to the voting phase.
Out of the eligible players, there were 116 Americans, 21 Japanese, 8 Canadians, 4 Mexicans, a Dutch, an Ecuadorian, and a French.
