I mostly support this policy, with positive notice towards the subliminal humor. Just some tweaks here and there and it will do fine. BNK [E|T|C] 22:14, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

As do I. Mr. Anon teh awsome 22:15, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

NIWAEdit

Hmm, I'm not entirely certain you guys are sure what NIWA is. "We are all NIWA's guests here." That is what troubles me most. You see, you are not NIWA's guest, this is your house. This is the community's website. If you really want to be technical about things, this is Porple's website, but your wiki, no matter who "you" is. NIWA is more than ready to help SmashWiki in any way possible. It will provide editors, crossover users, traffic through linking, advice, and experience to help in any way possible. However, NIWA does not own you, and you shouldn't feel inferior to NIWA or any other wiki in it. The idea here is that SmashWiki is now independent, the I in NIWA. It's own body free to set its own rules. I feel it's important to stress this so that no wiki around feels like it has to answer to anyone, NIWA cannot and will not try to force you to do anything. Saying it's "NIWA's house" was just a quick edit done to get rid of Wikia references; anyone can rewrite it to be more proper. Toomai Glittershine   23:15, 14 October 2010 (EDT)
Gooooood. Glad we're on the same page! Just keep that in mind with policies and other stuff. Malake256 (talk) 23:25, 14 October 2010 (EDT)

The "this is not your house" partEdit

This part kinda troubles me. The part at the end about how "we can ban your IP and delete every post you make if we wanted" kinda sounds like it's comming from a dictator. I understand that it's satirical, but a new editor who reads this may get the wrong idea. Mr. Anon (talk) 00:11, 15 October 2010 (EDT)

OK, now the section is even worse! It's basically saying "We can ban your IP and delete every post you made if we want, plus this is our place and not yours, so you have to do what we say." Mr. Anon (talk) 19:33, 15 October 2010 (EDT)
We are not to be trifled with Anon. A user who thinks that they can make another account after they're banned. They're wrong. This is the warning.--MegaTron1XD  21:25, 15 October 2010 (EDT)
Issues about sockpuppetry can be discussed in another policy. The thing about the section is that it isn't very welcoming in general, but as a wiki that wants to grow, policy articles should be welcoming to new users. The whole section kinda creeps me out now. Who does "us" refer to? And the idea that "we can ban you if we want" sounds quite Orwellian in manner. I suggest we just replace that section with a link to the basic policies such as No personal Attacks and such. Mr. Anon (talk) 00:40, 16 October 2010 (EDT)

BumpEdit

Yo, yo, yo. Why this fail? This should be policy, and we should make it for everything. Yeah! Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 21:09, 24 May 2012 (EDT)

Re-proposalEdit

I am reproposing this. Thoughts? I support. --RoyboyX Talk 14:05, 22 December 2012 (EST)

Note: I support with some tweaks. Mainly the removal of unnecessary expletives. --RoyboyX Talk 14:06, 22 December 2012 (EST)
