FailedPolicy.png This proposed policy or guideline has failed to gain the approval of the community, and so has not been implemented. It remains for archival purposes.

There has been some recent controversy about what you can write in Forums. I propose the following to end such controversy.

What you can have on Forums

Forums can be made to start disscussion among the community here. For example, you can make a forum about what ones favorite SSE level is, or what their favorite game in the series is, but it must be a discussion that reaches out to a large part of the community, not just one's friends.. For example, you cannot simply make a forum to talk about what your favorite character is. Furthermore, do not make multiple topics about similar things. For example, if someone makes a topic called "your recovery tier list" do not make a topic called "Recovery tier list (SSB)". Finally, all topics must relate to Smash, whether it be Smashwiki, the character Arena, or Smash in general.

Opening post on a forum

The opening post of a forum must have content, in other words more than just one four word sentence. As stated above, it must allow disscusion, not simply be a monolouge. Also, the OP should also explain what the forum is about and how others can disscuss it.

Posting in forums

Posters in forums must contribute to the disscussion at hand, and must relate to the topic. Posts must also follow other Smash Wiki policies, such as SW:NPA.
