Trivia

  • Despite the event being named after Pokémon Sword and Shield, a majority of the playable Pokémon were absent from said games at launch; only Charizard, Pichu, Pikachu, and Lucario were present in their Pokédex at launch.
    • Ivysaur, Squirtle, Mewtwo and Incineroar are fully coded in the games' data, but were unobtainable until the release of Pokémon HOME. Jigglypuff would not be added into the game until the Isle of Armor update, and Greninja is completely absent altogether.
