Next Level Games is a Canadian independent video game developer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are best known as a second-party developer for Nintendo, working on titles such as the Mario Strikers series, Punch-Out!! for the Nintendo Wii, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, and the Luigi's Mansion series.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Next Level Games' only representation in Brawl is through the Mario Strikers series. The Soccer Ball item is inspired by these games, including its tendency to catch on fire. The Striker Mario, Striker Daisy, and Kritter (Goalie) trophies are taken directly from Mario Strikers Charged. Several stickers are taken from the series, as well.

In Super Smash Bros. 4

Little Mac makes his debut as a playable character using his design from the rebooted Nintendo Wii installment. Doc Louis also appears as part of moveset, with his voice actor Riley Inge reprising the role. The Boxing Ring stage is based on the game's aesthetics and design. Several trophies use models directly from the game, in addition to the music tracks Minor Circuit (Original), World Circuit Theme, and Title (Punch-Out!!).

Luigi's new Final Smash, the Poltergust 5000, is based on the updated Poltergust model from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, which was developed by Next Level Games. It also appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, along with ghosts from the game and Polterpup. The tracks Luigi's Mansion Series Medley and On the Hunt -Gloomy Manor ver.- (Instrumental) are based on songs from the game.

The Soccer Ball item returns with similar functionality.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Little Mac and all his associated elements return; additionally, all Punch-Out!! spirits use artwork from the Wii installment.

Luigi's Final Smash is replaced with the Poltergust G-00 from Luigi's Mansion 3, which was not yet released at the time of Ultimate's debut. Luigi also uses the Poltergust G-00 for his grab and throws. The previous music tracks based upon Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon return, and Polterpup and the Poltergust 5000 appear as spirits.

Waluigi and Petey Piranha's depictions from the Mario Strikers series appear as spirits. The Soccer Ball item also returns once again.

A Mech from Metroid Prime: Federation Force appears as a spirit, and the music track Main Theme - Metroid Prime: Federation Force is sourced directly from the game.
