Alternate tracks can only be unlocked when the player has unlocked a certain number of characters (Tracks #30, #32, #34, #35, #36, and #37 are unlocked after all characters are unlocked, while tracks #31 and #33 are unlocked after Marth and Young Link are unlocked).
