List of trophies by unlock criteria (SSBB)

In Brawl, 544 trophies are available to collect. Each trophy has its own unlock criteria: some are unlocked by performing certain tasks, others are found randomly in game modes, and yet others are only found randomly after performing certain tasks. This article documents the unlock criteria for each trophy.
Character trophies
Completing Classic Mode with a playable character unlocks that character's regular trophy, while completing All-Star Mode unlocks that character's Final Smash trophy.
Challenges
In the NTSC version, certain challenges can't be cleared with Golden Hammers. This doesn't apply to the PAL version.

Additionally, the Hocotate Ship trophy can only be found in a certain turquoise cube in the level Outside the Ancient Ruins.
Random
All[citation needed] other trophies appear randomly in various places in the game. For a complete list, please refer to the articles linked from List of trophies. These trophies:
- Appear as items during Vs. matches as long as at least one item is turned on.
- Appear in the All-Star Rest Area after clearing certain rounds.
- Can be collected in the Home-Run Contest if Sandbag touches it.
- Can be obtained by shooting them in the Coin Launcher.
- Can appear after destroying cubes in The Subspace Emissary.
The Infantry and Tanks and Isaac trophies do not show up until the corresponding Assist Trophy has been unlocked, and Sonic-related trophies do not show up until Sonic has been unlocked, the same goes for Game & Watch and R.O.B..
