Pasta - FATAL FURY 2
  • Andy being represented by Fox may reference how both characters can engulf themselves in fire. Specifically, Fox's Fire Fox is highly reminiscent of Andy's super move from the Fatal Fury and KOF games, Chou Reppa Dan.
  • They are also both very fast and agile and have special attacks that involve them rushing forward quickly to do damage, in Andy's case, the Zenei Ken.
  • The stage resembles Andy's stage in Fatal Fury 2, Italy.

Let's Go to Seoul! - FATAL FURY 2
  • Ken represents Kim, as he is a martial artist that specializes in kicks.
  • The music represents Kim's stage in Fatal Fury 2/Special.
  • King Dedede and Ridley represent Chang and Choi, a pair of criminals who make up Team Korea with Kim in the King of Fighters games. The giant King Dedede represents Chang Koehan, as he is a large and heavy character with a massive weapon, while the tiny Ridley represents Choi Bounge, as he frequently uses his claws for combat.
  • The fight is set up similarly to The King of Fighters series, where teams of three are fought one at a time.

Soy Sauce for Geese - FATAL FURY SPECIAL
  • The Mii Brawler's costume is based on Geese's younger appearance as a secret boss fight in Art of Fighting 2.
  • The Mii Brawler also comes with various grapple-based special moves. The Counter Throw is very similar to the Atemi Nage, a move Geese has in the Fatal Fury games.
  • The stage resembles Geese's stage in the Fatal Fury games, Geese Tower.

Trivia

  • With a total of 5 spirits, Fatal Fury has the least amount of spirits among the DLC universes in Ultimate, although it shares its Spirit Board with the other SNK universes.
  • All Fatal Fury spirit battles have reduced jump power and are in Stamina Mode (excluding Kim's), similar to the Street Fighter spirit battles.
  • The Fatal Fury franchise is the first set of DLC spirit battles to not have its respective fighter appear in a spirit battle.
