Trivia

  • While not available in-game, "Hikari -KINGDOM Orchestra Instrumental Version-" from the original Kingdom Hearts is used in Sora's reveal trailer. Different versions of this song are also known overseas as "Simple and Clean".
  • Kingdom Hearts is the only series to feature a music track that can only be unlocked if the player has save data from another game, namely "Dearly Beloved -Swing Version-", which is unlocked with save data from Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. Previously, save data recognition only granted spirits.
    • The demo version of Melody of Memory does not unlock this song, due to it not creating save data on the system.
    • Unlike “MEGALOVANIA”, “Floral Fury”, and “Burning Town”, the respective songs obtained when purchasing the Sans, Cuphead, and Shantae Mii Fighter costumes, custom stages that have “Dearly Beloved -Swing Version-“ set as the song can still be downloaded and played on even if the player does not have save data of Melody of Memory, as long as the player has Challenger Pack 11, whereas stages with the aforementioned three songs cannot be downloaded at all without their respective Mii costumes. However, downloading and playing on such stages does not add the song to the player’s library.
  • Kingdom Hearts is the second DLC universe introduced in Ultimate to not have any remixes, the first being Dragon Quest. Unlike Dragon Quest however, Sora's victory theme is a new arrangement rather than also being directly sourced.
  • Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is the second of two games released in the 2020s to be represented in Smash via music, with the first being Minecraft Dungeons.
  • Kingdom Hearts and Minecraft are the only major series in Ultimate where all songs featured are named identically in both English and Japanese. All songs from Sonic The Hedgehog, Street Fighter and Tekken are listed in English even in the Japanese version, but the exact names vary.
