List of SSBM tier lists (PAL)

The PAL tier list is a tier list for Super Smash Bros. Melee that applies to the PAL region and incorporates its gameplay changes.

In all three tier lists, the top row of characters represents those who are generally considered tournament viable, while the second row of characters represents those better suited for low tier tournaments.

First PAL Tier List (February 22nd, 2007)Edit

Even though many people felt that the PAL region should have its own tier list, it wasn't until February 2007 that a selection of European and Australian top players voted on the official PAL tier list. The project was started and supervised by Dutch smasher Marc.

Second PAL Tier List (March 26, 2010)Edit

The second PAL Melee tier list was released on March 26, 2010 on the European Competitive Discussion subforum on SmashBoards, and was created by taking tier lists submitted by 33 of the top smashers from PAL countries and calculating each character's average position overall.

Third PAL Tier List (March 22nd, 2015)Edit

The third, and most recent PAL Melee tier list was released on March 22nd, 2015 by SmashEurope. Some of Europe's top smashers, including Armada and Ice, put their input into the list. Fox has been put into his own tier at the top of the list. Marth has risen three spaces to 2nd overall in the tier list. Notably, Yoshi has gone up a whopping eight spots to take 11th place, largely due to aMSa's strong tournament results with him. Pikachu also notably rose five spaces on the list. Ganondorf and Roy have both fallen four spaces to reach 14th and 22nd, respectively. The tiers in this list are split into groups, which are Top (SS, S), High (A, B, C), Mid (D, E), Low Mid (F), Low (G) and Bottom (H).

"Change" lists how much a character's position changed between the two tier lists it is in between. "Highest" represents a character's highest position, "Lowest" represents their lowest position, and "Difference" lists the difference between the highest and lowest position. "Overall change" represents a character's change between the first tier list and the current tier list.
