Frame Perfect Series 2 was a tournament held by MVG League in Orlando, Florida from March 18th-19th, 2017, featuring a Super Smash Bros. singles tournament and both singles and doubles tournaments for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Top level international players such as SuPeRbOoMfAn, Armada, ZeRo, Ranai, MkLeo, Kameme, Komorikiri, and Tsu- were in attendance.

Notably, Armada did not participate in Melee singles due to sleep related issues, and two top teams (both Wizzrobe/Hungrybox and Mango/Lucky) were disqualified from the doubles tournament.

  • Due to a succession of DQ's on the part of their opponents, JBO and Orion placed 5th in Melee Doubles without winning any games.
  • This is the second American major tournament to be won by a Japanese player, Kirihara, following Abadango winning Pound 2016 nearly a year prior.
