Hey everyone, I joined just yesterday to improve the wiki's coverage of tournaments. When I list the results, should I use a wikitable or just make a list with : before each contestant's name? Also, should I list every competitor, or just the top X? Sloth (I am NOT Sloth) 16:51, 25 October 2013 (EDT)

A wikitable would take much more time and space on the page, though it's undecided on which should be used. Just use what you prefer. I don't think listing everyone is necessary, since it would take a lot of time and space and people wanting to find out could just use the external link to the Smashboards results thread. Adding a list of all the people from bracket is always more helpful, as it saves people time looking through a link, and TOs commonly screw up people's names and character icons. Stuff on Smashboards can be difficult to find and it's much easier to find on the wiki. Generally the bracket for any singles event at a national is required. And a wikitable is not necessary and does not provide any significant advantages over a list.
Thank you Sloth for helping us out with tournament articles. You can find a list of nationals here and learn more about creating results here. Awesome Cardinal 2000 17:38, 25 October 2013 (EDT)

It's perfectly fine to create an article on any tournament, but national tournaments are the most important and easiest to keep updated. Awesome Cardinal 2000 17:48, 25 October 2013 (EDT)

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll add more to those brackets soon! Sloth (I am NOT Sloth) 01:14, 26 October 2013 (EDT)
