Round 156: Pikachu vs. SonicEdit

Winner!!
Pikachu

26.5 to 13
It's time for a bout with speedy rodents. They're agile, less rotund than a few years ago, and have similar Final Smashes - which quick-attacker wins?

  26. Sonic's cool...but Pikachu demonstrates Shock And Awe rather nicely, with a great/fun-to-play moveset to boot. Super speed is nice, but heightened speed plus literally-stunning electrical attacks are even better (and Volt Tackle, whether in Pulseman, the Pokémon games, the Super Smash Bros. series, or the Pokémon anime, is just freaking awesome). And Pikachu's just so cute! ^_^ :3 Finally, Ash's Pikachu has pretty much catapulted the Pikachu species into awesomeness. A1M 4 T3H H0RN! (o^.^o) Fenyx4 (talk) 20:47, 28 September 2012 (EDT)

Round 157: Mario Bros. Madness vs. Wario Bros.Edit

Winner!!

Round 158: Screw Attack (SSBM) vs. Screw Attack (SSBB)Edit

Winner!!
Tie

16 to 16
It's a battle between two versions of the iconic screwball. Is the throwing weapon with a satisfying smack or the sleek and sticky badge the better deal?

Votes for Screw Attack (SSBM)Edit

  1. More strategy involved. --- ReiDemon, Author Extraordinaire, 23:58, 5 October 2012 (EDT)
  2. You can hold it forever, while the badge doesn't permanently stay. ShupaRoeh  01:44, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
  3. It's more useful. You can hold onto it forever to use its primary effect, or you can throw at someone for high damage while launching them into the air in a helpless state (the only kind of attack in any Smash game that can do that). Plus, being able to hold it made it invaluable in the Multiman modes. Omega Tyrant   06:06, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
  4. You can throw it to someone who's trying to recover and make them fall helplessly to their doom >:D Bandit 07:50, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
  5. Same as 2 and 3. Terrible is Halloween 08:55, 6 October 2012 (EDT)

  7. The Brawl one looks cooler, but this one can be thrown at opponets. Being able to Screw Attack is good in Metroid, not Smash Bros. That's why whenever I got a Screw Attack in Melee, the first thing I'd do is throw it at an opponet. You can't do that in Brawl, so obviously the Melee version is the better one. Supersmash4 (talk) 10:54, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
  8. This one is more useful, you can throw it as opposed to the Brawl one, when thrown at an opponent and hits them, you can punish them. Smash Master 12:12, 6 October 2012 (EDT)

  12. In Melee, if you throw it at someone, they become helpless after Screw Attacking. I've had a few matches where a simple toss of a Screw Attack dispatches the opponent. Melee it is! Takava (talk) 18:14, 9 October 2012 (EDT)
  13. I had no idea what I should vote for. So I'm voting for this because I like navy better than that pink... purple... color... thing. Air Conditioner  , a real nowhere man 20:31, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

I'd rather have the item as a Badge than as a singular item (which prevents me from using other attacks or holding other items) despite the shortened usage time in Brawl; the Screw Attack item also seems cooler being used as a "Badge". Round 159: No KO vs. CD FactoryEdit

Votes for CD FactoryEdit

  1. Very helpful, especially when trying to get those last few stickers, which can be a pain to gather. The gimmick of No KO also tends to get boring after a little while, whereas CD Factory always has its use (and multiplayer ones can be an interesting custom stage to fight on). Omega Tyrant   11:56, 13 October 2012 (EDT)
  2. Helped me get those last few CDs without any obstacles getting in the way. 204.191.143.100 12:36, 13 October 2012 (EDT)
  3. This was incredibly useful for collecting the last few stickers, there was only so long I could tolerate playing through the Subspace Emissary levels to hunt for stickers. 110.174.90.69 03:13, 14 October 2012 (EDT)

  6. Discs are more hard to get than long fights. 79.180.246.73 13:53, 15 October 2012 (EDT)
  7. CDs are extremly hard to get otherwise. Plus it's fun as a normal stage. Nintendosega75 (talk) 12:25, 17 October 2012 (EDT)
  8. 129.128.29.72 10:02, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
  9. Getting the last few stickers is a real pain. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Krazy4Krash (talk) 06:45, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
  10. CD Factory gets my vote in this match. While the concept of the No KO custom stage variants is intriguing, its purpose only works really well in Stamina Mode (unless you happen to be playing with some other goal in mind where No KO stages are suitable for your purposes). Also, if I randomize stages in SSB Brawl and I'm not in Stamina Mode, it forces me to reset, as the match would be endless otherwise (and you can't turn off specific stages in Brawl's "Random Stage options"; it has to be all custom stages either on or off for randomization.) CD Factory, on the other hand, was much more helpful to me (especially when I sought after the long-coveted "Title (Kid Icarus)" CD/track in My Music, netting me quite a few Stickers in the process as well. Normally, I'd just play and let the CDs drop when they will, but the appearance of Mew (who can drop CDs at times) and its Pokémon brethren is a bit too rare for my circumstances, given how often I'm able to play the game. I also like the layout of the CD Factory, as it seems like it took a bit of thought from SSB players to develop properly, rather than the simplistic No KO stage variants, which anyone could have thought up, really. So, CD Factory it is (but poor Sandbag...subject to so many attacks from players. T_T XD). Fenyx4 (talk) 12:56, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Half-votesEdit

  1. What's the point of a stage where you can't kill people? And please don't answer that, it was rhetorical. Davsto (talk) 11:14, 13 October 2012 (EDT)
  2. I have never once used either of these stages; CDs, trophies and such always appeared easily for me, and No KO just seems like a five second thrill, if even that. But I'll give a slight benefit to the CD Factory for at least having a practical use. --- ReiDemon, Author Extraordinaire, 12:49, 13 October 2012 (EDT)
  3. This would be really helpful if I could just get it to work. But it's stillfun to fight on. The No KO just looks stupid. It's way more fun if you get rid of the highest block on the left. Making it an Almost No KO. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supersmash4 (talkcontribs) 13:21, 2012 October 13

May I ask why my vote been moved to the half votes section? I checked the rules and it doesn't break any of them. Please put it back to the right place. Davsto (talk) 14:33, 16 October 2012 (EDT)

Bring it up with ShupaRoeh, he's the one that moved it to the half-votes section. Air Conditioner   Come together! 18:17, 16 October 2012 (EDT)
Read rule 3. ShupaRoeh  18:27, 16 October 2012 (EDT)
Does that mean I can now just move it straight back into full votes by putting the hash in front of it? Davsto (talk) 12:29, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
Unfortunately, I don't think you will be able to do that, since somebody beat you to adding the number sign. JamesHeart123 13:17, 18 October 2012 (EDT)

Who invented these special stages? The Awesome 17:56, 18 October 2012 (EDT)

Round 160: Master Hand vs. Giga Bowser vs. TabuuEdit

Winner!!
Master Hand

15.5 to 10 to 12.5
The final bosses of each game come together to fight. Which big baddie will actually be victorious?

Votes for Master HandEdit

  1. My favorite character in all of Smash. Mr. Anon talk 23:48, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
  2. Even thing out for a brief moment. 204.191.140.194 00:11, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
  3. He came first. Terrible is Halloween 11:38, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
  4. You're fighting normal characters, than all of a sudden a giant hand appears! Supersmash4 (talk) 13:22, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
  5. Giga Bowser must really be liked if they chose him as a Final Smash over the Koopa Clown Car or Dry Bowser, but what SuperSmash4 said got me thinking, I never got to the Giga Bowser battle, so I don't have any scary memories of Bowser suddenly mutating. I do however have memories of the unexpected hand coming from no where. So, The Winner is...Master Hand! Nintendosega75 (talk) 13:27, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
  6. Easy but a lot more nostalgic. Master Hand is creativity over brutality and dominance (Giga Bowser and Tabuu respectively).LightningBlue  19:16, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
  7. Eh. Never played Melee, so I don't know what Giga Bowser is like there, but I do know Brawl, and don't like Tabuu. Master Hand is my favorite to fight, especially when he's alongside Crazy Hand.--Starman125 (talk) 21:38, 20 October 2012 (EDT)
  8. Better, especially with Crazy Hand. Besides, he was in alll three games. SSBBNess (talk)   11:48, 22 October 2012 (EDT)

  12. Let's make the boss of a fighting game of Nintendo characters a floating white glove? SURE --201.165.243.7 18:59, 25 October 2012 (
  13. Lets go fight a Giant Glove. What part of that doesn't sound awesome? Boxman992 16:58 October 2012 (EDT)
  14. I really like Tabuu's concepts and his Off Waves attack (aka the "Red Rings of Death"), but Super Smash Bros. 64 nailed the final boss. You vanquish oversized monkeys, clash with skilled swordsmen, ward off beasts, and eliminate polygonal knock-offs, only for your journey to culminate in a battle with a giant, white floating glove that reigns over the fighters - stationed atop a suspended platform in a foreboding expanse of space with ominous music playing in the background. Fenyx4 (talk) 20:00, 26 October 2012 (EDT)
  15. Tough choice, but ultimately I have to go with the classic final boss. 110.174.90.69 20:53, 26 October 2012 (EDT)

I still can't believe I haven't gotten to Giga Bowser yet. Man I wonder how people beat Adventure mode as weegee without wavedashing. LightningBlue  19:17, 20 October 2012 (EDT)

LB: A sizeable amount. For example, I've beaten Adventure Mode with every character, but I can't wavedash at all. I could learn, but Melee is not my focus. Toast  ltimatum  04:17, 21 October 2012 (EDT)
