just some rumors i wanted to let you people know and possible try out that is said to reduce lag.

  • turn off "allow spectator"
  • entire game turns slow-mo (like a timer or spear pillar)
  • not playing on final destination (said so right here.)
  • close all programs on computer
  • turn off computer
  • use gamecube controller (don't know how this helps...)

thats it. if u know anymore rumors or think u know somethin that might help, just add onto the list urself. 69.12.204.172 02:35, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

How could you turning off programs on your Computer affect you playing Brawl? YOWUZA TALK 2 ME! 16:59, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

If the programs or your computer are talking to the internet on the same wireless router, the information might be transmitted slower. From what I've seen, most routers give priority to computers over other devices. There are some specially designed routers that assign higher priority to the gaming consoles. I don't know if these work, however. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 17:26, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Why does FD lag anyway? It's just a simple, flat stage. I would expect it to have very little lag at all, but alas. - GalaxiaD (talk) 22:43, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

GXD, it lags because of the background. DUH!! Xtrme (talk) 22:45, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

The "DUH!!" on the end could've been left out, but now I get it. - GalaxiaD (talk) 22:50, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

"duh" is good for u. --The Anonymous--

What's that supposed to mean? - GalaxiaD (talk) 23:11, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

It's not just the background, the background contributes but it's not all that lags. Take a good look at the stage. The center is made of glass. The Diamond core has multiple colers depending on the angle you look at it (which takes more than one layer of transparency/opacity effects for its mesh). There are artistic grooves almost all over the under side even in places you can't normally see (look through the glass). The also has blue lights that travel on the surface along the edges (a little bit on the side too). Its very unusually shaped, being jagged instead of rounded helps to reduce lag but it still one very intricate peice of work. Add the background, music and damaged wii (if it is) and the usual lag any stage gets. So it's not just the background. I mean the Battlefeild has a changing Background it doesn't lag as bad. Why, because its not as intricate as Final Destination. Not to mention while your wii is loading all of that it's trying to maintain a connection to someone else possible on the other side of the world.(sry for having a long explanation, feel free to correct any mistakes I made). I never thought like that before. 69.12.204.165 22:28, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

TLT, you're gonna be a great philosopher one day. You're the Socrates of Smash. - GalaxiaD (talk) 01:44, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Looks Like I came out of nowhere with a bag glitches and literally overnight become revered as a glitch master XD. Makes you wonder if I have an inside job at nintento or think that I'm some expert hacker. Truth is I'm just a 15 year old game addict who gets bogged down with details (leads to my discoveries). You see I'm pretty terrible and I make my own very powerful combos to compensate for my crappiness, in the process I find out a lot of this stuff. I have a LOT left i just don't have enough time... Oh forgot It's rainbow lights around the front and back edge on the surface of Final Destination, not blue all around. (to be exact its Peach, yellow, red, and Crimson). The Blue is just the color of the tiles. TheLegendTamer (talk) 18:47, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
