Forum:Idea for a Better Link Recovery
Link is low on the tier list because of his recovery right? Well, if he could charge his Spin Attack in the air, similiar to Diddy Kong Recovery, he could be better.
OR u could just use his bomb to hurt himself in mid-air thus giving him his recovery move back. "Mas"terman What's the matter?Scared?
Yes. But his recovery sucks compared to the one of Toon Link.

He currently ranks 36th on the tier list due to his slow attacks, abysmal recovery, and poor match ups. In Brawl, he can charge is Spin Attack, but only on the ground, so it isn't very useful. (full charged the spin attack is a good killing move). If he could charge his spin attack in the air, like Diddy Kong, his recovery would be a lot lot better. Toon Link don't need it, because is recovery is already very good.
If he threw the gale boomerang and touched it in mid-air and he was flung up in the air in a little tornado, that would be good. Luigi wannabee 25 (talk) 13:01, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
There's a lot of things that could happen to make a character better. The only ones that matter are the ones that we can actually do. I wish that Sonic had a good move, so then I could actually use him. However, he doesn't. Nor can Link charge his sword spin. - Sonic is not awful just because he's low tier, nor is he awful because of his taunt (which isn't annoying at all). He's just misunderstood because he isn't a Nintendo Character. lol I main Sonic. His worst match-up is possibly Toon Link, or any other character with decent range and projectiles. Sonic is actually quite good once you know how to use his killing moves. I don't use Link.

I sometime use Link, I think he's a good character but, sadly I always lose with him (Tier un-related, it's just use characters like Ike more), I don't think that he's a bad character, but Tiers are based on tournament settings and most of Link's power comes from his Final Smash (in brawl) and his ability to get the Smash Ball. That's WHY he's low tier, so stop complaining about his recovery and live with it/ use another character Ike's Best BuddyMerry! Christmas!!
- Cool it. People don't make forums to complain, they're just giving their ideas. Link is a good character, and you're just a little upset at his tier placement. Tiers are based on how well a character's meta game is, not how good they are at getting a Smash Ball. Link is not at the bottom because he can't break the Smash Ball easily, he's at the bottom because of poor speed and an easily gimped recovery. Watch some Link combo videos please.
