The wiki page for CD Factory gives a suggestion for a high efficiency factory. It's the typical set-up where all Sandbags are led to a single point with conveyor belts. The step-by-step creation guide says you need to chose the large stage template, to increase the available surface area for item spawning.

What I don't get is: why does that matter? Spawn rate doesn't change with stage size, and if a CD/sticker spawns far away from you, it might disappear before it reaches you with the conveyor belts. So it seems to me that a small stage would be better.

Could anyone explain to me what actual benefits a large stage gives?

Only so many items can appear at a certain rate on smaller stages. Me? I just used time and patience to collect stickers. Cafinator (talk) 05:52, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Containers give some good assistance. But they explode, oh well, if they help they help. Learner4 (talk) 14:33, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

That one guy (he didn't sign his name) makes a good point. A smaller stage would seem more efficient than a large one. - GalaxiaD (talk) 20:57, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
