Fire-Type Frenzy is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In it, the player controls Charizard, and must defeat Greninja, Lucario, and Pikachu in a stock match, one appearing after the other as they get KO'd. Only Fire Bars, Fire Flowers, and Superspicy Curry appear as items.
ProgressionEdit
This event is unlocked by clearing The King Strikes Back. Completing the event unlocks the up path. Once both the event is completed and Mr. Game & Watch is unlocked, the right path is unlocked.
- Up path: Awards the Poison Mushroom trophy. Leads to A Battle of Scale.
- Right path: Awards 1000G. Leads to That Elusive 9.
Completing the event on normal or hard difficulty within 70 seconds awards a Lingering Edge Fake Nails equipment.
TriviaEdit
- Discounting DLC fighter Mewtwo, Jigglypuff is the only Pokémon character in the game to not appear in the match.
- However, this leaves each character involved in this match the Pokémon starters in the 3DS version, and it also means this event uses the same Pokémon as Pokémon Battle, only that the player uses Charizard instead of Greninja.
