Super Mario Bros. 2 (スーパーマリオＵＳＡ, Super Mario USA) is the 38th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee. As the title says, this event is related to Super Mario Bros. 2, the characters and the stage, namely fighting against Mario, Luigi, and Peach on the stage Mushroom Kingdom II. Opponents can damage each other easing it for the player.
Trivia
- The description of this event is slightly inaccurate because Toad is not there as a playable character in his own right, although it can be argued he is present as one of Peach's attacks, giving the title accuracy.
- This is the second event in Melee that references an NES title. The first is Event 31: Mario Bros. Madness, which is a reference to Super Mario Bros..
