Giant daisies float down from above, and nearby fighters fall asleep. The closer a fighter is to Daisy, the longer they stay snoozing, giving Daisy plenty of time to launch foes or recover health by smelling the daisies.
—Description from Ultimate's Move List

Daisy Blossom (デイジーブラッサム, Daisy Blossom) is Daisy's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Overview

When Daisy Blossom is used, two images of Daisy frame the screen as the camera zooms in on Daisy's dancing. All grounded opponents receive 10%, 20% or 30% damage (depending on their distance from Daisy), and fall asleep, and three large health-restoring daisies (each healing 20%) appear around the stage. Once the Final Smash is complete, Daisy can heal herself easily and get free hits on her sleeping opponents.

The move is also effective against aerial opponents. Characters grabbing the ledge will instantly fall off, acting as an instant KO. Opponents above the ground will fall, and automatically be put to sleep. The closer to the opponent Daisy is, the longer they will sleep. The move is very difficult to mash out of, especially at higher percents. Since sleeping characters cannot move, this Final Smash is most effective on scrolling stages. The move has a limited, albeit fairly large, range.

When initiating the Final Smash, Daisy will remove all items in play, except for ones held by fighters. This can be used to her advantage, as she can potentially get large amounts of KOs when holding powerful items such as a Home-Run Bat.

The move is a clone of Peach's Final Smash, Peach Blossom, with the only differences being that it features images of Daisy instead of Peach, an orange flower motif in place of Peach's pink hearts, and the large peaches are replaced with daisies; all of these differences are purely visual, however.

Origin

The Sleepy Time ability in Super Mario RPG, which likely inspired Peach Blossom.
The "Sleepy Time" ability in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars introduced Peach's ability to put foes to sleep, as featured in Peach Blossom and retained in Daisy Blossom.
Daisy using her flower powers, as she does frequently in Mario spin-offs.

The move is unique to Smash Bros., with its name, effect, and flowers being an obvious pun on Daisy's name. However, it is directly based off of Peach's Final Smash, Peach Blossom, which itself is likely based on an ability unique to Peach in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars called "Sleepy Time" that causes opponents to fall asleep; Daisy has never induced sleep in opponents in a similar manner outside of Smash Bros. The Daisy drawings are inspired by the same game that Peach's are, being Super Princess Peach. The flower effects and motifs of the Final Smash are similar to Daisy's flower powers from the Mario spin-off titles, such as Mario Power Tennis, Mario Hoops 3-on-3, and Mario Super Sluggers. Just like with Peach Blossom, the music is a sped-up remix of the music heard in The Sky and Coin Heaven levels and in the Warp Zone (World 9) of Super Mario Bros. 3. ([1])
