The New Weapon of Shadow Moses (シャドーモセスの新兵器, New Weapon of Shadow Moses) is the 18th co-op event match out of a total of 21 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This event takes place on Shadow Moses Island. Player 1 controls Snake and Player 2 controls R.O.B. The objective is to beat two other R.O.B.s.
Trivia
- The name is a reference to the nuke warhead-launching Metal Gear from the Metal Gear games and two R.O.B.s that are used to detonate Subspace Bomb from Subspace Emissary.
- This is the only co-op event where both players have one stock and their two opponents have two stocks.
- The two co-op events (Co-Op Event 17: Sonic and Mario and Co-Op Event 18: The New Weapon of Shadow Moses) have a pattern of third party characters. In Co-Op Event 17: Sonic and Mario (the previous one), one of the players is Sonic (for P1). In this one Co-Op Event 18: The New Weapon of Shadow Moses, one of the players is Snake (for P1). These two co-op events alludes to that Sonic and Snake are the mascots of their video game companies (Sonic the mascot of Sega and Snake the mascot of Konami).
- This co-op event is also the co-op variant of Event 36: High-Tech Special Forces because both have Snake as an assigned character and both take place on the same stage (Shadow Moses Island).
