Bringing Back the '80s (対決! 1980年代生まれ, Showdown! Born in the 1980s), known as Club 30+ Clash in PAL regions, was an Event Tourney that ran from 6 a.m. on December 13, 2019 to 6 a.m. on December 16, 2019 (UTC). During the event, only characters and stages that originated from games released during the 1980s could be used.

Description

This tourney focuses purely on fighters and stages created in the '80s! Pull off some rad veteran moves to come out on top!
The further you advance, the better the spirit you'll win![1]

Trivia

  • The Koopalings and Erdrick are the only playable characters originating from the 1980s not present in the event, due to them being alternate costumes for Bowser Jr. and the Luminary respectively.
  • Mushroom Kingdom II and Temple are the only stages from a 1980s game not present in the event.
  • Flat Zone X is the only stage in the event that did not appear in a game released on the Famicom.
