20XX Melee Training Hack Pack

a
An image of every stage in Melee 20XX, as of 5.0.1. Stages have been bordered with a color to signify whether they're tournament legal or not.

20XX Melee Training Hack Pack is a hack of Super Smash Bros. Melee made by achilles1515, that is designed to help players train for tournaments. 20XX is currently on its version 5.0.2 (released January 20th, 2023). Character attacks and attributes are normally unchanged, although various options exist to alter their performance for training (such as auto L-Cancel) or fun (SD Remix alts) so players can take what they have learned from 20XX and play Melee normally.

ChangesEdit

Character selectionEdit

  • The default rules are set to tournament rules (4 stocks, 8 minutes, items off, etc.).
  • All characters and stages are unlocked immediately.
  • Alternate costumes, such as SNES Captain Falcon and Zombie Falco, are usable by selecting a specific costume while pressing the L or R button.
    • Additionally, pressing Z while selecting certain characters will allow the usage of the Master Hand (Pichu), Crazy Hand (Pikachu), Fighting Wire Frames (Captain Falcon and Peach), Giga Bowser (Bowser), Sheik (Zelda), and Solo Popo (Ice Climbers).
    • All characters can have their versions from the PAL version selected by pressing right on the D-Pad.

  • Longer nicknames, along with lowercase letters and additional characters to use.

Stage selectionEdit

  • The stage select screen highlights generally legal tournament stages, which are highlighted with different colors to show legality in singles and/or doubles.
  • Stage striking is available on the stage select screen by pressing Y. Stages are removed by pressing X..
    • Additional Stages can be chosen by pressing the D-Pad down while on the Character Select Screen.

BattleEdit

  • The pause camera can rotate and zoom out freely.
  • After a match is complete, A and B can be held to start another match with the same characters, stage, and settings. This is also known as a salty runback. This can also be done in the middle of a match by pressing the "exit match" sequence of L + R + A + Start, but adding B to the button presses. ( L + R + B + A + Start ).
  • Useful modifications like flashes on successful or failed L-cancels for helping players time L-cancels.
    • The character will flash red when an L-cancel is missed, and white when the player succeeds at timing the L-cancel. Both can be toggled in the debug menu.

OtherEdit

The Debug Menu as shown in version 5.0.1.
  • A list of Action Replay codes and other settings, in a fashion that is similar to the debug menu replaces Tournament Mode.
    • Customizations like editing the color Final Destination and changing the platforms of Battlefield are included.
  • Most normally single-player-only stages, such as the All-Star Rest Area and Trophy Tussle stages, are playable in versus mode. However, Trophy Tussle also no longer spawns trophies.
