F.L.U.D.D., which stands for Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device, is Mario's Down B in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, taken from Super Mario Sunshine. After taking it out, holding down and B will charge it up, which can be done anytime (even when shielding). Letting go of down and B fires a stream of water that does no damage, but does have knockback, potentially making it an excellent Edgeguarding move. In the update, "Sonic the Hedgehog Joins the Brawl!", Mario is seen using F.L.U.D.D. and continuing to keep F.L.U.D.D. on his back before jumping and using it again in midair. This move replaces the Mario Tornado from the previous two games. The Mario Tornado is still retained in his moveset as an A attack as his new dair.
