Battlefield
Largely the same as in previous games (aside from more intuitive item spawn points), Battlefield returns.
Variations
- Windy Battlefield - Always nighttime, and wind blows randomly, in a similar manner to Dream Land (SSB).
- Big Battlefield
Music
- Battlefield - A brand new Smash Bros. theme with a similar style to the Brawl and Smash 4 main themes.
- Menu (Melee) (Remix)
- Battlefield (3DS/Wii U)
- Battlefield Ver. 2 (Brawl)
Final Destination
An orange and black colored Final Destination. In terms of gameplay, it is the same as usual.
Variations
- Master Hand's Residence - Master Hand occasionally appears as a stage boss, and the stage is larger.
- Final Destination Pillar - The small area in the center of the stage releases a deadly pillar of light every 30 seconds.
Music
- Super Smash Bros. Melody - Opens with the Melee and Brawl themes alternating, which are arranged in such a way that they are almost clashing with each other, and ends with an orchestral version of the Smash 5 main theme.
- Master Hand's Residence - An orchestral version of the music heard on Final Destination (SSB).
- Final Destination Ver. 2 (Wii U)
- Credits (3DS/Wii U)
Super Mario Maker 2
Similar to the original version, but with the possibility of non-terrain elements appearing, such as Mario enemies and spikes.
Variations
- Calm Mario Maker (Ω) - Surrounded by bottomless pits, and omits any hazardous elements.
- Athletic Mario Maker - Consists entirely of semisolid and mushroom platforms.
Music
- Airship (SMB) - A remix of the airship theme in Super Mario Bros. levels similar to that heard when creating the level.
- Super Mario Maker Theme - A jaunty remix of the title theme in Super Mario Maker.
- Title (Super Mario Maker)
- Overworld Theme- Music depends on the theme of the randomly-generated stage, but is the grass area theme of that game (i.e. a Super Mario Bros. level will cause the SMB theme to play.)
Old Odyssey
A "half and half" stage, with a fire theme on the left and ice theme on the right, complete with appropriate hazards (lava from the background and ice blocks, respectively).
Variations
- Old Oddyssey Mountain (Ω) - Hill-shaped, but hazards are removed.
- Rolling Oddyssey - Boulders and snowman pieces which can be rolled around appear instead of the regular hazards.
Music
- Old Odyssey Medley - A remix of the canyon and snow themes in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
- The World to Win - An electric guitar remix of The World to Win.
- Squeak Squad Theme
- Floral Fields
Autumn Heights
Based largely on the Horn Top Hop section , this stage features falling leaf platforms and horns that occasionally blow wind upwards. The main platform (as well as some soft ones) is made out of logs.
Variations
- Log Heights (Ω) - All elements removed aside from the core wooden platforms. The ceiling is also removed.
- Horn Top Hop - The horns now serve as the main platforms and leaves are rarer.
Music
- Horn Top Hop
- Mangrove Cove - Played on electric guitar.
- Mangrove Cove
- Swinger Flinger
Prism Tower
Exactly the same as in its original appearance.
Variations
- Prism Tower Peak (Ω) - Takes place only on the peak of the tower.
- Lumiose City - Travels around the tower as opposed to up and down along it.
Music
- Lumiose City - A big band remix of the original track.
- Battle! (Trainer Battle) (Pokémon X / Pokémon Y)
- Pokémon Main Theme (Pokémon Red / Pokémon Blue)
- Lumiose City
Pirate Ship
The same as in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Variations
- Pirate Ship Illusion (Ω) - The water is fall-through, enemy fire narrowly misses the ship, the catapult doesn't appear, and the King of Red Lions is in the background.
- Lookout Platform - Similar to the old Final Destination version of the stage, but bombs fire along the sides of the stage.
Music
- Song of Storms - Played on the acoustic guitar and lacks the opening of the previous remix.
- The Legend of Zelda Medley
- The Great Sea / Menu Select
- Dragon Roost Island
Green Greens
Mostly the same, albeit a bit smaller.
Variations
- Peaceful Green Greens (Ω) - No blocks appear, the apples are much weaker, and Wispy Woods does not blow wind.
- Mega Green Greens - The stage is larger and the apples and wind are stronger.
Music
- Green Greens - A techno remix of the classic theme.
- Ice Cream Island
- Green Greens (Melee)
- Green Greens (Original)
Jungle Japes
Identical to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS''s version.
Variations
- High Jungle Japes (Ω) - Water and Klaptraps removed. The stage is also slightly smaller and lower.
- Jumping Japes - Klaptraps jump much higher, but recognize ledge invincibility and spike.
Music
- Jungle Groove - Slightly more intense version of the classic song.
- Jungle Japes
- King K. Rool / Ship Deck 2
- Jungle Groove
