Lucky Charm is a Lucario main originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, who moved to Houston, Texas in mid-2014, and later to Peoria, Illinois in mid-2018 to attend college, only to return to Houston after a year. He first started playing Smash when he received Melee in mid-2013, and has received, in some form, every other Smash game. Prior to attending college, he had yet to play in any tournaments, mostly due to placing his education in school first and foremost; however, he did still train against the AI and other online players, in an attempt to keep his skills with him. He was once one of the top players of Melee in his high school, during the short time that his school's gaming club was active. He discovered the Bradley University Smash Club after he moved to Peoria, and immediately joined. However, due to scheduling conflicts, he could not participate beyond the first weekly in the first semester; in the second semester, the conflicts went away, and he returned to the club. Partway through his first year at Bradley, he came to the tough conclusion that he needed time closer to home to, in his own words, "figure out college and life", and returned home to Houston.

Trivia[edit]

  • The name "Lucky Charm" comes from the superpower of the same name from Lucky Charm's favorite TV show, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
  • Lucky Charm will always disable tap jump before playing; he has stated numerous times that he dislikes the feature, as it can ruin combos.
    • In fact, if playing Melee on an emulator, he will disable tap jump in that as well.
  • While at Bradley, Lucky Charm also served as a TO assistant at his school's weeklies; in the case of Bradley Smash Ultimate Weekly #5, he even stepped in as the TO at the last minute in place of the regular TO.
    • Additionally, he would occasionally jump on the mic during free time to commentate on other matches. Humorously, due to a request to "not do loud commentary" for a set in Bradley Smash Ultimate Weekly #3, he commentated the set in the style of an ASMR session. In the same weekly, he (and other members of the club) interacted with Charliedaking, who showed up in the Twitch chat thinking the stream was for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (due to an error on the stream's part).
  • For the first four Ultimate weeklies Lucky Charm attended, he, humorously, left something different behind each time; in order, he left his HDMI cord, his water bottle, his phone charger, and his GameCube adapter. With Bradley Smash Ultimate Weekly #6, he made sure not to leave something behind, seemingly breaking the "curse", before leaving his Switch's charger behind the following week.
  • Lucky Charm also participates within the League of Legends community, as a Jinx main.
