First and foremost, It is key to explain that the scene in Buenos Aires has mainly been using Challonge instead of Start.gg for most tournaments during Ultimate's lifespan, except for a few majors organized by either T@cho or AFK, and even AFK has been mostly using challenge. The same type of "weak performances" made by JacintoDC on his smashdata page, can be found in many players from scenes in Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, and other Latin American.

Regarding JacintoDC, he has been a strong contender for the best representative of the character in Argentina, aswell as the southern part of South America for characters like Dr. Mario, Mii Brawler, and King Dedede, and has many wins over some of the strongest players in Argentina during their peaks. --Tacho99 (talk) 19:39, January 11th, 2024 (EDT)

I understand the start.gg challonge part. I don't even know why I put the smashdata there it's kinda misleading. Even with the challonge placements, everything sill seems mediocre at best. And how does this player fair against other notable players in the region seems questionable and I think he falls short in that regard. I also believe that being a contender for "best x in y" is rather trivial unless u are backed up by solid placings and maybe rankings. Because otherwise u can be for example "Best MSF" going 2-2s while there only very few good representatives within the region. Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? I still don't understand your stance on "Placements > Wins". It's understandable the whole aspect for Best rep of a character in a country/region. Nevertheless, we are creating articles for people to read, and it's important to clarify the status and notoriety within a character in any Meta. In this case, JacintoDC has been the most notable Dr. Mario Main in South America in the Pre-Pandemic Era. And it still is one of the most notable in general, despite his mediocre placements. Because, Placements, are not the most important part of a representation of a player. Is a series of things like wins, consistency, rankings, H2H, international participation, among other things including placements. We clearly not going to agree with this type of stance. And, it sticks like a sore thumb that JacintoDC has barely ever made it to the Top 8. But he is a notable representation of some of the least notab le characters like Fox, King Dedede, Mii Brawler, and Dr. Mario, and has impressive wins to show them, despite his lackluster placements. --Tacho99 (talk) 16:00, January 14th, 2024 (EDT)
I guess we just have to agree to disagree then. Ofc stuffs like consistency and H2H matter but those heavily revolve around win rates which are heavily affected by placements. You can't really have a good consistency if u don't have a decent win rate. International participation isn't as important since many players can gain notability by performing well locally. And after everything that had happened I would argue that rankings are the least important thing as those are based on players' results no matter what. Having no ranking doesn't necessarily mean you are non-notable while being ranked on a poorly made or tiny sub-ranking may not be sufficient enough. With that said, you seem to be more eager or focused on more trivial matters like repeatedly mentioning "best character player in a region" and even once mentioned games wins before. Also being a representative of a "less used" or lower tier character doesn't make a player more notable similar to how Ganondorf players have their skill levels judged by the same criteria. And even if somehow having good wins is just as important like same level of importance as good placments, lacking one over the other still makes it a borderline case at best.
