Georgia
Georgia (GA) is a Smash region located in the Southeastern United States, bordering Florida, The Carolinas, and the rest of the Southeast; Georgia has been historically considered part of the latter region, however due to the size and strength of its scene compared to the rest of the Southeast, it has more recently been separated into its own region by several global rankings, including OrionRank and LumiRank.
The vast majority of the scene is concentrated within the Atlanta metropolitan area, which historically has been the location of Georgia's largest tournament series. These tournament series included the Gwinnett Brawl monthly, Maji Game Night weekly, and the 404 tournament series. On a national scale, Atlanta is known for two notable tournament series: DreamHack Atlanta, which is part of the DreamHack tournament series, and MomoCon, an anime convention that frequently holds large Smash events. Outside of Atlanta, there are smaller scenes in Savannah, Valdosta, Columbus and Augusta.
