#I never really liked any of the clones in Melee. But the ones that returned in brawl were at least sort of reworked, which was enough for me. And I'm sure the ones left out would have gotten reworked as well. Except for Dr. Mario. I really just can't see him progressing as a fighter at all, even if he were to return. The thing about the other clones is that they have the potential to gain new moves, and generally differentiate themselves from their clone counterparts. Dr. Mario was just a mere costume change of Mario with some minor move edits, which just isn't enough for me. That's really all he will ever be. #Mario's the classic character, but from a Smash Bros. standpoint, I favored Dr. Mario in Melee. He was stronger, used electric attacks instead of fire (which is part of why I like Luigi more than Mario too!), and, to be honest, doctors are just plain cooler than plumbers. Ivy's right about his absence from Brawl. Sure, he was a clone, but at least he was a good clone. Maybe there shouldn't be two competing characters from different metagames. Mario is from Brawl (the picture) and Dr. Mario is from Melee. It could be confusing and hard to decide. I have no idea why plumbers are fighting doctors... Lucasthefourth (talk) 08:36, 3 December 2010 (EST)

Who really gives a crap that Doc is a clone. Being a clone is not bad when it comes to tourney play and can actually help out the character like Ganon was probably really good in Melee because he was a clone of the fastest Melee character (Falcon) while being so strong so he didn't end up like he is in Brawl (having really slow attacks and speed). Doc King (talk) 16:22, 3 December 2010 (EST)

Because at least the other clones werent just an already existing character with a different outfit, sure Roy,Falco, and Ganon were clones, but hey at least they were their own character and still pretty damn cool, but Dr.Mario,Young Link, and Pichu were terrible ideas,Dr.M is just mario in a doctors outfit giving out free pills to drug his foes,Young Link is just that,a young Link, and Pichu is pretty much just young Pikachu who was apparently a masochist, and whats wrong with Ganondorf in Brawl, his side tilt, down tilt, down air,and side special all got buffed,he may be slow but he was slow in melee as well so i dont see what your point is,he was and still is deadly, its just that slow characters arent very beginer friendly because they require a lot more skill to be used properly, the only real nerf he suffered is that he cant L cancel short hop F-airs and N-airs anymore and instead of getting comboed to hell he gets chain grabed insteadGig (talk) 17:20, 3 December 2010 (EST)

#I'm not really a fan of either, but here's the thing. Green Hill zone is subject to tons of kills on the sides. Sure this is true with 75m as well, but it's bigger, and ergo less likely. Both stages are very cramped, but 75m is a bigger cramp, so yeah, I'm having trouble getting my point across on that one, heh. The spinning checkpoints are WAY cheaper than the fire guys and DK. DK can be easily avoided, the fire guys are a pain, but not too bad. The only things are the springs, which I admit are annoying as Meta Knight's Tornado! Hey, I never said I liked 75m, it's just the least bad of the two. And on a side note, I absolutely HATE the Sonic music. My least favorite songs of the series come from there primarily. There are a few good ones, like the Green Hill Zone theme song, but those annoying-arse songs like Seven Rings in Hand are just weird. We don't need sappy rock songs during a Brawl. And I don't even want to speak about Sonic Racers 'shudders'. I like all three of 75m's songs. 25 BGM was very nostalgic for me (sure I'm a teenager, but I used to play my fair share of old video games, like Donkey Kong), the Donkey Kong remix was just awesome and fun, and the Donkey Kong opening was just...yeah. Not bad. So! There was have it, 75m has my vote. My very long vote at that. Mowrt620 (talk)Mowrt620

#Ugh. 75m is an absolute hell level for me. Any level that makes your character the size of a postage stamp is absolutely annoying, and the springs — sorry, "jacks" — and chance of Donkey Kong hitting you are downright aggravating. Then we have Green Hill Zone. Friend to many, enemy to Robotnik. The ground breaks off (though you can just jump to get out of it), there's the easily-avoidable but oh-so-fun spinning checkpoint, and then we have the left-right boundaries that are very close to the edge of the screen… but not quite as close as those of 75m. OT, you're actually wrong saying that Green hill is very small, I think its overall average size (A lot of sky XD). Doc King (talk) 14:03, 4 December 2010 (EST)
:Green Hill Zone is certainly one of the smallest stages in Brawl, and I'm certainly not wrong when I say it's overly small. Sure, the amount of ground you can stand on may make it look "average", but there are no edges on the sides and the blast lines are suffocatingly close (which, the blast lines are what I use to consider a stage's size). But alas, read what I told Gig (which was also aimed at you) in the comments section in the previous Smash Arena battle. <span style="font-family:Edwardian Script ITC; font-size:12pt"><span style="color:forestgreen">Omega</span> <span style="color:forestgreen">Tyrant</span></span> 16:14, 4 December 2010 (EST)

@Mesuxelf: Of course 75m doesn't have a background, you have got to remember, you've got a stage from an NES games vs. a stage from a Sega Genesis (plus if they did add one it would be generic anyway). #It's a tough choice between him and Falcon, and I haven't played SSB64 in nearly 10 years (nor have I ever owned it). Falcon was my second favorite in Melee and is my current favorite in Brawl Minus. But Kirby was an early favorite in Melee (despite how awful of a character he was), I'm a fan of his series outside Smash Bros. #Duh, of course Dedede is FTW. Dedede beat Bowser easily in SSE. 198.166.216.82 00:38, 18 December 2010 (EST)
#King Dedede can fly! #This was actually a very difficult decision, since I like both of them and I use both in Brawl. Let's start with Bowser. As the antagonist (and sometimes anti-hero) of the series, he's become a surprising favorite for many people. Just like most villains, he commands his own little army, and although the monsters in it seem weak, there sure are a lot of them. From a Brawl standpoint, he has strong attacks, an awesome Final Smash (no knockback!), and one of my favorite moves: Flying Slam. Whenever I get a stock advantage, I just keep using it — and I almost never lose. Then again, there is that glaring speed problem, and his recovery leaves something to be desired. Now let's shift our view to King Dedede, the Koopa King's Kirby counterpart. Unlike Bowser, he could be classified more as an anti-hero than an antagonist most of the time. His own army is practically equal to Bowser's, the main difference being that D3's soldiers are much more varied. What about the penguin in Brawl? He has strong attacks, an awesome Final Smash (Big Gay Dance!... Wait, haven't I already used this format?), and his own suicide move in Inhale. Unlike Bowser, however, he can actually survive it. Also, Dedede can jump five times (that penguin can fly!) and his recovery move is excellent. Sorry, Bowser, but you're only second-best.
