This article is about the stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. For the social network, see Miiverse (social network).

Miiverse (Miiverse, Miiverse) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Functionally, its layout is identical to Battlefield, but with key aesthetic differences. The stage's theme is centered around Miiverse, with the platforms and background designed to match those of the Miiverse interface. Selected messages created by users appear in the background, intended to cheer the fighters on. Users are able to post messages and drawings for each character to Miiverse, which can then appear when that character is a participant in a match. The border color determines which character the post cheers for. During the results screen, players will have the option to send a post directly to Miiverse related to the character who won the match. This prompt occurs even if Miiverse is disabled on the system.

It was made available in a free update on June 14th, 2015. It is automatically downloaded after the update.

This stage is not available when playing against others online. When playing locally, this stage can be played even with the Wii U not connected to the internet; doing so will simply cause no messages to appear.

Ω Form

The Omega form removes the thin platforms and resembles the Online Practice Stage. The Mii Posts would still be available.

Trivia

  • The Online Practice Stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U uses a similarly designed main platform.
  • When a Smash Ball appears, one message for each fighter will pop up. When a character acquires one, numerous posts for that character quickly pop up and stay that way until the character loses it or the Final Smash is over.
  • Ordinarily, a larger message will pop up cheering on a character who has attained a KO, but sometimes a message for the KO'd character will show up instead. If the KO is done via meteor smash, two messages will come up.
  • This is the only Downloadable stage that isn't available in 8 Player Smash.
