Up to Speed (known as Gotta Go Fast in PAL versions of the game) is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In it, the player controls Sonic, and must defeat Fox, Falco, and Captain Falcon in a high-speed 1 stock battle. The opponents appear to have little launch resistance.
Progression[edit]
This event is unlocked by clearing The Original Heavyweights and having Falco unlocked. Completing the event unlocks the up path.
- Up path: Awards 500G. Leads to Pokémon Battle.
Completing the event on hard difficulty within 25 seconds awards an Unharmed Speedster Ring equipment.
Trivia[edit]
- The music used in this event, White Land, normally plays on Port Town Aero Dive, rather than Windy Hill Zone.
- It may be a reference to the White Space in Sonic Generations.
- Sonic's opponents are the same as all three fighters who appear in Event 43: Birds of Prey in Melee.
- The European title for the event is a reference to the original 4Kids English opening to Sonic X (commonly referred to as "Gotta Go Fast").
