The '''Spring 2019 PGRU''' lists the best smashers for ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', starting on February 1st, 2019 with {{Trn|Sumabato SP 2}} and {{Trn|GENESIS 6}} and ending on July 7th, 2019 with {{Trn|Albion 4}}, {{Trn|The Pinnacle 2019}}, and {{Trn|BigWinChampionship 2}}.

==Methodology==

The power ranking was formulated similarly to {{forwiiu}}'s [[Panda Global Rankings]] with a few alterations. First, an international multiplier was added, giving tournaments outside of the United States 1.25. This addition allowed more international events to be ranked on the TTS, and gave international players a better chance to make the final list. 

In addition, there were no points for players on previous PGR rankings as tournament values were based solely on entrant numbers. As a result, there were several tournaments that were either left unranked or had lower point values. Notable examples include {{Trn|Collision 2019}}, which despite being a major was only a PGR C-tier, and {{Trn|EGS Cup}}, which despite featuring {{Sm|MkLeo}} and several notable Japanese talent did not meet the attendance requirement and was therefore left unranked. On the other hand, as a compromise outplacements were factored into the ranking, as well as wins over players who would've been in the 51-100 range had the ranking gone up to that placement.

Hours before they began unveiling the regular top 50 rankings, PGStats released a list of players who most closely missed the cut for the Spring 2019 PGRU top 50, known as "Area 51." They were unranked between each other, and as such are all considered to be effectively ranked #51.
