The time the player has can be set by paying coins, ranging from 30 seconds to two and a half minutes. After that, the player had that much time to break blocks. Hazards can also drop. A meter appears below the score. Once it fills up, the player enters Fever Mode, where blocks containing prizes will drop. If the player gets KOed, the platform temporarily vanishes to clear any blocks, and the combo counter resets. Coins, customization parts, and [[trophies]] may be obtained after playing.

Trophy Rush (フィギュアラッシュ, Figure Rush) is a minigame in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Its primary use is to attain trophies, though it can dispense other rewards.

In Trophy Rush, the player selects any character they wish, then selects how long they wish to play the game. The minimum length of time is 30 seconds, though it can be increased by one second for every six Coins the player adds to the cost. In the actual game, the player is tasked with destroying as many crates that fall onto the small platform they are standing on as possible; a line high above the platform indicates how high the crates can go, and if this line is breached for too long a period, then the platform disappears and the player is KOed. In addition to this danger, electrical balls, bombs, and specialised boxes that shoot fire from one side can fall onto the stage, which the player needs to avoid. Getting KOed for any reason in the mode causes a deduction of fifteen seconds of playtime.

The player receives a score based on how many crates they have broken in the timespan, after which an appropriate number of trophies, custom moves, and other bonuses are rewarded. In addition, a meter present in the mode slowly fills up the more crates the player breaks; filling up this meter leads to a Trophy Rush, where specialised blocks holding coins and trophies constantly fall onto the stage.
