pidgezero_one is a Canadian smasher. She is a former commentator and travels to major tournaments featuring Brawl and Smash 64.

She participates in tournaments for every Smash game, but her strongest is Smash 64. She idolizes fellow Jigglypuff player YBOMBB, and sought training from him. She is currently ranked 8th on the Southern Ontario Power Rankings.

Community efforts

pidgezero_one worked on raising awareness of Wiimmfi on Smashboards in anticipation of the shutdown of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Under the direction of Diddy Kong of Kitty Corp: Meow Mix, she wrote a guide on connecting to dedicated Wii servers post-shutdown. She also worked with SOJ in writing an optimized netplay code for Brawl for use with Dolphin to improve the game launch process. Their code was later integrated into Dolphin's settings by the emulator's developers.

pidgezero_one gained notability for reviving the Smash 64 tournament community in Toronto. She has run the Flaoc tournament series since early 2014, and has been co-hosting frequent training sessions for newer players with YBOMBB at their shared home. She is also helping maintain the Brawl community by adding it to summer Flaoc tournaments and starting the What's Dream Land? series. She also is frequently hired to run tournaments at local conventions, which she uses as an opportunity to promote the tournament community to newcomers. Her resources include a tournament event calendar for directory website Ontario Smash, which she created and programmed to automatically use Facebook event data. She is working on expanding this code to work for Smash communities around the world.

pidgezero_one is a staff member and the IRC channel owner at /r/smashbros, an occational news writer for Smashboards, and has written for Melee It On Me. She occasionally appeared as a guest on the SmashCast, Project Smash Online Roundtable, and Hypest podcasts, and was a featured guest in CLASH Tournaments' Roundtable Discussion during Twitch's Smash Community Spotlight week. She is an occasional consultant for Smash 64 and Brawl development and marketing on Smash Ladder. She worked as a researcher on Canadian children's television/YouTube show Gaming Show (In My Parents' Garage), resulting in the addition of competitive Smash content to the show, including guest appearances by Nakat.

For her efforts, she claims that she came very close to receiving an invitation to Super Smash Bros. Invitational, but was ultimately rejected for excessive low-quality posting on Smashboards and Twitter. However, she later was one of a select few smashers to receive Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U from Nintendo of Canada before official release as acknowledgement of her efforts.
