A Self-Destruct is the name for a "suicide" in SSBM and occurs when a character dies onn their own without offensive interference by another character (environment damage such as cars do not count as this). It only affects the SD'ing player by subtracting from their score in time/bonus battles, removing one stock in stock battles, and halving coin amounts in coin battles.
