Mr. Saturn first appeared in Earthbound (Mother 2 in Japan), he's appeared as an item in all the Super Smash Bros. games. As he walks around the stage you can pick him up and use him as a projectile. Also, when you hit someone it makes a faint sound, the more opponents you hit, the louder the sound will become.
Trophy
In Super Smash Bros. Melee Mr. Saturn's trophy can be unlocked through the lottery. He returns as a trophy in Brawl.
