Move.png It has been suggested that this article should be moved to Miiverse (universe).
The reason given for the move is: To fill the "stage universe" position for the stage (Discuss)

The Director's Room announcement community.
This article is about the social network. For the stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, see Miiverse.

Miiverse is the Wii U's and 3DS's social network, that can be used to communicate and comment on certain games and software. Users can follow and befriend other users, "Yeah" (like), and flag comments. Miiverse is currently available to use on smartphones, PCs, and tablets, allowing the player to answer questions and receive tips even when away from home. It is currently accessible on the Wii U, 3DS, and on Nintendo's website.

Miiverse featured a community named Super Smash Bros. Series Community, where users of Miiverse are encouraged to discuss the Super Smash Bros. series, and post drawings, which has now turned into the community for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The community also features an Announcement Community, known as the Director's Room, where Masahiro Sakurai used to post daily screenshots of Super Smash Bros. 4, and provide a short caption with it, but now it is used for Photo Challenges.

Although Miiverse is integrated as part of the 3DS Home Menu, playing Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS restricts the access to Miiverse and the Internet Browser due to RAM restrictions, unless the player is using a New Nintendo 3DS or a New Nintendo 3DS XL. As of version 1.0.5, users with the original model Nintendo 3DS can post screenshots to Miiverse via the in-game Share menu. This function posts to a special community, the Snapshot Sharing Community, which cannot be posted in by normal means. The Wii U version automatically uploads shared screenshots to the Snapshot Sharing Community and shared custom stages to the Stage Sharing Community, which also cannot be posted in by normal means.

A Miiverse stage appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The layout is the same as Battlefield, but posts from Miiverse will appear in the background based on the fighters in the match.

Trivia

  • Mentioning Project M by name on any Miiverse community can trigger an automatic ban for discussing "criminal activity".
    • This includes using the abbreviation "PM", which can result in erroneous bans when talking about other games or series with the same abbreviation (such as Paper Mario).
