Forums: Index Brawl Talk Characters that should have been in Brawl

I think there are characters that should have been playable in Brawl. My list of characters is Ridley, Bowser Jr, Mewtwo(would have been a better character), Megaman, King.K Rule, Porky Minch, and Miis(could have used eqiupment from Wii Sports and Wii Play, such as boxing gloves). Dark Overlord 00:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Bowser Jr. and Mii would be cool, but I don't know who they would portray, maybe the color changes could be both wearing different color shirts, and different features. Mewtwo is an old Pokemon, Pikachu is a classic and PKMN Trainer's pokemon are Kanto starters from the recent-ish games Fire-Red and Leaf-Green. Porky and Ridley (Obviously Ridley) would be better as bosses. Ridley is much too big. Bowser Jr.'s final smash could have something to do with his magic E. Gadd brush. I don't know what Mii's would be, so any ideas?. I wish they would include AiAi from the Monkey Ball series. He could easily be a semi-clone of Sonic, but slightly slower.XXXXX

Yea, the characters from the Monkey Ball Series could be able to glide like in one of the mini games. Learner3 20:47, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah there were several characters that would have been cool in brawl, I REALLY wanted Krystal to be in it as a playable character, and knuckles and shdow would be cool, I also wanted lynn as a character and not a trophy, also how come nintendo can't put another F-Zero character? Nintendo needs to get up and add some downloadable contentSuper G 01:26, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Super G

Yeah. Crystal was one that I didn't think should be in Brawl, but replace Wolf in the next addition. She could use the forcefields from Assault for her aesthetically different reflector. I think that Falco could have had a different final smash: the arwing! Since the landmaster's hover capabilities and laser beams are in there, can't you see how they could pull it off? Wolf's could have been the Wolfen which is actually better than the arwing so that could match up to his greater power. I know they could have put a semi-clone for C. Falcon. When I get trophies from F-Zero they all look the same.XXXXX 16:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

I just want Zero and Viewtiful Joe! PeetzaLink 19:01, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Why not Krystal? who knows how long Nintendo will take before they release a new smashbros? Mario and Link's girlfriend's are in smash why not Fox's? Krystal would work perfectly as a character because she already has many abilities in Star fox adventures, look 'em up, her staff even has a force fierce field thing to sub for a shine. Honestly she'd be a great character. What we really have to do is find some way to get these other characters in to brawl, like I said some downloadable content would be nice, Brawl is a great game but there's always room for improvement.Super G 02:04, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Zelda is not Link's girlfriend, first of all. And I think downloadable content would take too much memory. You would need:

Character body All special moves for that character Final Smash Smash attacks Other attacks Taunt Movements All item animations Weight Attack Strengths Damage animation Fall Animation Pratfall Animation Throw Animation Victory Poses Loss Clapping Animation Wiimote Sound Trophy Final Smash Trophy Artwork for Character Selection and in Classic Color Changes (I'm not entireley sure about this next one but possibly:) Almost all of the above for each color

But still, I think it would be cool. And another one could come out relatively soon. Just think about the first Smash Bros. to Melee. That was only two years apart.XXXXX 03:46, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Soren should be in the game, and be able to use the wind, fire and thunder moves from his specials. He woul, hopefull be an original character, and be a different take on fire emblem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.10.116.46 (talkcontribs) 17:17, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

An interesting idea, he could probrably glide, maybe his final smash can be two different types, like either Trinity with Donald and Goofy (XD), OOORRR, he can turn into one of his Forms, the Forms are always Randomly picked, even anti-sora (0_0) can appear. Learner4 21:32, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Johnny Xtreme. Hear me out. Okay, moveset.

  • Neutral A: Punch in the balls
  • Tilt A: Kick in the balls
  • Dash A: Stronger kick in the balls
  • Forward Smash: Punches opponents balls off
  • Up Smash: Pulls out a rocket and shoots a chainsaw (if charged, the chainsaw explodes)
  • Down Smash: Swings his alligator around
  • Neutral B: Does 'rock on' sign with his hands and makes things explode.
  • Forward B: Uses his Xtreme Power and preforms a move somewhat similar to rollout but with lightning
  • Down B: A counter where he pulls out a squirrel, if it is attacked the squirrel latches onto the opponent and blows up while saying 'this game kinda sucks'
  • Up B: Pulls out a snake with a jetpack on it and flies up
  • Final Smash: Nukes, but it's okay, because he can fly
  • Up taunt: makes words fly out like 'balls' and 'to the max' and 'superfluous'
  • Side taunt: yells 'Xtreme!'
  • Down taunt: breaks a beer bottle on his crotch, which if it hits an opponent is a one-hit ko similar to the ultimate chimera
  • Neutral aerial: pulls out the snake with the jetpack and spins around with it
  • Forward aerial: attacks with his chainsaw which has katanas on it
  • Back aerial: drop kick
  • Up aerial: Pulls out a searchlight which negates any additional jumps by characters above him
  • Down aerial: blasts the ground below him with the exhaust from the snake's jetpack, spikes if it hits an airborne opponent

Knuckles, Tails, Dixie (4 from mario, 3 from sonic, 3 from DKC) maybe Bowser Jr., but not rly.

What i would like is a Mario Smash bros game:

Dry Bones, Boo, Goomba, Hammer Bros (Maybe have two?), Koopa Troopa, Toad, maybe even Lakitu
-Ashran111 04:55, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

A Mario only smash game. Great idea! Blooper would have to be included too! And Paper Mario (Who also should have been in Brawl) could have hammer and jump attacks. He could use pixls or Crystal Stars for his final smash! The logo might be something like this.

Ah? Ah? I really think Bowser Jr. should have been in Brawl. He would use paint attacks. His color changes would be interesting. XXXXX 15:43, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Paper Mario in Brawl? You can't be serious. We already have one "flat" character (Mr. Game & Watch) and we certainly don't need another one. Besides, Paper Mario would just be a clone of Mario. They're the exact same person! Also, Paper Mario's graphics would be too hard to process into the game, given how bright and colorful he is. Sorry for sounding so critical, but overall it's a bad idea. - GalaxiaD 03:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Naw, I mean, there was young link and link, paper mario would have RPG style moves. but I wouldn't care for paper mario so much, I'd be more interested in one character for each main baddy. I forgot blooper obviously, but also shyguy! - Ashran111 14:58, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Geno, Ballon Fighter, Mach Rider and Game & Watch Jr. --Jigglypuff is God 03:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Exactly. Paper Mario would be different from Mario. He wouldn't be to hard to process and he's made of paper; flat but 3d paper. XXXXX 01:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Ryu, from Street Fighter.
Neutral B: Block. Only works in front of Ryu. He brings his arm up to block an incoming attack. If properly performed, he takes only 1% damage, regardless of the attack, and no hitstun, plus no start-up or wind-down lag. If used on the ground, very little knockback. However, if it is used in the air, the knockback is halved.
Side B: Hadouken. Easily the slowest projectile in the game (think Ganondorf's dash). However, it does 10% damage, and can neither be absorbed or reflected. On the ground, it can be shot straight, or angled up or down at a 30° angle. In the air, it always goes down at 30°. Good for edgeguarding. (says "HaDOUken!")
Up B: Shoyruken. The famous jumping uppercut. He yells "SHOYruken!" when doing this. All vertical, no horizontal recovery. Doesn't hit opponents up, but rather knocks them away.
Down B: Hurricane Kick. There's some alternate name for this that also ends in -ken, but I can't spell that. Anyways, if used on the ground, he rises into the air, spinning with his leg outstretched, yelling the other name for it that I can't spell. However, in midair, he flies forward (actually, in a parabola) doing the same thing but with less knockback. Good for horizontal recovery, as you can still do a Shoyruken after.
Final Smash: Metsu Shoyruken. Ryu cringes, acting like he has just sustained a mortal wound, and lies on the ground - and enemies are like what. However, if you go above him - time stops. Ryu opens his eyes, which now have an evil glow, and does an uppercut to the top of the stage, yelling "SHOYRUKEN!!!!!!!!!"". OHKO move. This comes from the end of one of the Street Fighter games.
Neutral A: Punches with the right hand, then the left.
Forward Tilt: Ax Kick. Fast and fairly strong.
Down Tilt: Kicks with his leg. Looks like Ganondorf's D-Tilt.
Up Tilt: High Kick.
F-Smash: He steps forward and does a side kick (kicking straight out with his heel).
D-Smash: Does a sweeping kick on both sides.
Up Smash: Does a short Shoyruken.

Oh, and Shadow the Hedgehog. I have a .bmp of his moveset on my computer, but the Smashwiki is being gay and I can't upload.
Neutral B: Chaos Regeneration. This doesn't come from the games, but... Shadow sends a ring of Chaos energy a short distance around. If it gets hit by an energy projectile, it absorbs it and Shadow loses 1.5x the damage that would have done. It's like PSI Magnet but with one crucial difference: just as Nayru's Love is to Fox's reflector, so is Chaos Regenration to PSI magnet. Translation; it only stays out for a short period of time.
Side B: Chaos Blast. Shadow sends out a ball of Chaos Energy, which can be charged. The longer it is charged, the stronger and bigger hitbox it gets. However, it has a fair amount of start-up lag.
Up B: Chaos Control. Shadow jumps into the air with his arms outstretched and a purple ball of Chaos energy around his fists, and teleports in a given direction. When he reappears, the fist energy has enough power to KO.
Down B: Chaos Reflect. A large purple sphere expands around Shadow and - well, you can guess what it does. It does a fair amount of damage and knockback to those next to it, but again, it only stays out for a short period of time.
Final Smash: Super Shadow. Duh. The Chaos Emeralds fly into Shadow, much like for Sonic, but Shadow yells "FEEL THE ULTIMATE POWER!". He can fly around like Super Sonic, but is somewhat slower and doesn't do damage by colliding into people. To attack, he shoots 5 Chaos Spears at 7% damage each from his hand (by pressing A) or one, 30% damage Spear (by pressing B).
Good, no? Runer5h 22:12, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Runer5h

Mega Man would be a better choice for a Capcom character, I mean yeah his games suck now but the classic Megaman rocks! Plus he could use his powers from the robot masters as his attacks, it would be awesome. Nintendo has previously stated that characters originally from fight game will not be included in smash. also Sonics alt costumes suck and it would have been nice if he had Shadow, Knuckles, and Silver alt costumes rather than a glut of sonic characters.Knifeblade 22:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

What about Zero?
Neutral B: Zero Buster. The classic buster appears on Zero's arm, and he shoots a blast of energy. Fairly fast but not all that strong. Hold for rapid fire.
Forward B: Dash. This does no damage from the actual dash, but it moves faster than Zero's run speed. And guess what? If you press A while dashing, you will execute a powerful spinning slash with the Z Saber.
Down B: Giga Fist. On the ground, he sticks his fist into the ground, and a plume of energy comes out, blasting characters away with high knockback, but low damage. If its in the air, it becoms a stall-then-fall, and Zero shoots down. It has a fallong speed about that of his fast fall, but the farther down you travel, the bigger the energy plume gets. Alternate Down B: Shield Boomerang. Hails from MMXZ rather than MMX. Only works for the one side, but is basically a counter with a twist; if hit by a projectile, it homes in on the original shooter (or the person who last reflected it). Up B: Ryuengin. He jumps into the air with a fiery sword. Enemies are pulled up by the attack, and the last hit has fair knockback.
I don't know about his Final Smash.
Neutral A Combo: Downward Slash, Horizontal Slash, Powerful Overhead Slash
F-Tilt: Strong Swipe with the sword, angled downward.
F-Smash: Raijingeki. He shoots a long-ranged electric lance-type blast from his buster.
U-Tilt - Stabs above him; looks like Marth's U-Smash, but less knockback and damage.
U-Smash - Slash from his feet to above his head, but not quite directly above. His sword is fiery for this one.
D-Tilt - Crouching, he slashes across the ground.
D-Smash - Visually similar to Giga Fist, but with a shockwave.
Dash Attack - Stabs sword out in front of him.

Nair - Slashes in front of him. Looks like Zamus's Nair.
Fair - Kuubenu. Looks like Metaknight's nair, but better range and can spike with the initial hit, as will as Zero spinning slower.
Bair - Slashes behind him, looking like his nair in reverse.
Uair - Slashes above him. Like Metaknight's uair, but slower and in reverse (with more range).
Dair - Hyouretsazan. Stabs downward with an icy lance. Suprisingly, not much landing lag, because the lance shatters when it hits the ground. The shattered bits cause damage. No, it doesn't freeze.

Pummel: Shoots opponent.
Forward Throw: Slashes opponent forward with his Sword.
Back Throw: Throws opponent backward.
Up Throw: Does a short Ryuengin.
Down Throw: Throws opponent on ground, jumps up, and uses his Dair on them.

Up Taunt: Pumps his fist in the air.
Side Taunt: Turns and does a thumbs up.
Down Taunt: Makes Giga Fist energy engulf his fist.
Cool huh? Runer5h 23:46, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Runer5h

They were allowed to put any Jump Ultimate Stars or Final Fantasy characters that were in Mario Hoops 3 on 3. That and making Mii characters playable as in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. That would all have been legal and cool. (Enzeru 17:07, 1 May 2008 (UTC))
