The Dolphin Emulator, with the ISO images of Melee and Brawl ready.

Dolphin is a GameCube and Wii emulator usable on personal computers. The emulator had since gained some notability due to JPleal's Perfect Falcon and Perfect Pichu videos (both TAS), which use the various tools included in Dolphin to be performed properly.

The emulator is also noteworthy due to its ability to allow texture hacking in Melee and Brawl; furthermore, it has built-in online play options, and it is considerably more stable than other emulators for its platforms. However, Dolphin system requirements are pretty high, and it has prevented its widespread use among the Smash community. Additionally, the legality of Dolphin has been questioned, due to the sketchy legal nature of ISO images for Melee and Brawl, particularly if one does not own a physical copy of the aforementioned games.

Melee is reportedly said to run in Dolphin without errors; Brawl, however, requires certain graphical requirements set within Dolphin to display the Results screen in Single Player modes properly.
