Add code for a template

Hi! I would like to request adding a code to the InstructionalQuotes template. The code would make the source be from the Wii U manual. (If this isn't where I can put requests, my apologies.) SonDaniel   (talk page) 17:25, April 19, 2020 (EDT)

Is there a Wii U manual? I don't recall. Disaster Flare   (talk) 00:15, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
Uhh, yes. There’s an instructional manual for the Wii U. SonDaniel   (talk page) 01:04, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
It’s in the game box. SonDaniel   (talk page) 01:05, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
I would not know, mine was a used copy when I got it. XD I'll add it in just a sec. Disaster Flare   (talk) 01:06, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
Thanks so much! SonDaniel   (talk page) 01:06, April 20, 2020 (EDT)

Template:Technical data

Hello, Disaster Flare. I am drafting overviews with Ultimate characters' specific moves. Are regular users supposed to ask permission to remove Template:Technical data by themselves or do users with certain rights remove the template by themselves?   Derekblue1 (talk)   01:52, April 20, 2020 (EDT)

As long as the required information is provided, any user can remove the template. If you add in the necessary information and nothing is missing, feel free to remove the tag. Disaster Flare   (talk) 01:53, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
Alright, thank you for the answer. Have a great day, Disaster Flare!   Derekblue1 (talk)   02:59, April 20, 2020 (EDT)

New infobox template

Hello, I noticed sponsor articles does not have an infobox, so I decided to draft one: Template:Infobox Team. I was wondering if you would like to check my draft, and I'm happy if you decide to improve the template if necessary.   Derekblue1 (talk)   23:42, April 21, 2020 (EDT)

Hmmm....looks fine to me, but I'd get a second opinion from another admin, personally. Disaster Flare   (talk) 02:20, April 22, 2020 (EDT)
Alright, I will go ahead. Thank you.   Derekblue1 (talk)   07:07, April 22, 2020 (EDT)

Question About Character Pages

I really wasn’t sure where to ask this, so apologies if this wasn’t the best place to ask something like this.

How would you feel about removing sections on character pages that say things like this?:

“Possibly as a result of being ranked #_ out of #_ in __, (insert character here) has been buffed/nerfed in the transition to __.”

As far as I’m aware, it’s never been outright proven that the devs buff/nerf every character solely because of how good or bad they were in the previous game.

Also, unless I’m mistaken, wouldn’t statements like that technically fall under speculation as well?

Again, sorry if this wasn’t the best place to ask this. Just decided I should maybe get an admin’s opinion on it first. Gizmo (talk) 19:21, April 22, 2020 (EDT)

Not Flare but I agree with you on this one. It does fall under speculation because not only has it never been confirmed that they use tier placements to decide who to buff or nerf (as you said), there is no evidence that they do either. If they actually did use tier lists as the basis, then characters who were low tier in SSB4 like Kirby and Bowser Jr would have been more signifficantly buffed, and high tiers like Ness and (especially) Pikachu would have been nerfed instead of buffed as they are now.   OmegαToαd64the Best Kαrter 19:32, April 22, 2020 (EDT)
I would agree that it seems to fall under speculation too, but that may be something that needs a proper vote on. Disaster Flare   (talk) 20:20, April 22, 2020 (EDT)
I guess maybe a proposal for it could work, although I don’t know how to make one. Gizmo (talk) 06:28, April 23, 2020 (EDT)
