A misfire refers to a malfunction in Luigi's forward+B attack, the green missile. Each time the missile is attempted, there is a 12.5% chance (1 in 8) that the attack will react explosively, launching Luigi a great distance across the stage on fire. A misfire that makes contact with an opponent will do 25% damage.
