How does this need a cleanup? (Wolf O'Donnell (talk · contributions) 08:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC))

I believe its because it doesn't have any application to gameplay element in the article. I typed one in so I believe I can take off the stub annotation now. ......So I will. IrvThaSol (talk to me)

Can you do this glitch on delfino plaza? ~Teh Blue Blur~... ~You're too slow!~ 20:24, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

All stages?[edit]

What about Port Town Aero Drive, or Summit? They don't have grabbable ledges. Ike's Best BuddyMerry! Christmas!!

Maybe we should say "Except for Delfino plaza, Port town aero drive [...]" Etc? Does that sound good? ~Teh Blue Blur~... ~You're too slow!~ 09:31, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Reason[edit]

We should have a section on why this happens, like most other glitches. I'm not sure how it happens, but i think it's because the enemy grabs the ledge on one of the frames that the Cape hits, so both of them happen at once. 75.85.64.155 18:50, 29 January 2014 (EST)

Returning Glitch Rumor[edit]

I heard that this glitch has returned in Super Smash Bros 4. Even I heard that it was number four on the top 5 Super Smash Bros 4 glitches. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smashworker101 (talkcontribs) 12:26, 15 November 2014 (EST)

I looked it up. While there is a cape glitch in Smash 4, it's completely unrelated to this glitch. Source from Kotaku, which links to multiple YouTube videos. Rtzxy Reflect.jpg Reflect! 12:53, 15 November 2014 (EST)

Maybe I saw another glitch that lnvolved Mario's cape due to the Youtube video Top 5 Super Smash Bros 4 Glitches. What are the top 5 glitches:

  • (5)
  • Hoaxed Cape glitch (or Cape glitch) (4)
  • Ice Climbers chant glitch (3)
  • Gordo Bur glitch (2)
  • Multi Man Mode (1)

Forgot number 5. It can be wrong about the Cape Glitch returning. (Smashworker101 (talk) 13:12, 15 November 2014 (EST))

The "cape glitch" in Smash 4 is the one I linked to Kotaku for; in other words, a completely different glitch. By the way, the #5 glitch is Yoshi being able to jump insanely high up into the air. Rtzxy Reflect.jpg Reflect! 13:19, 15 November 2014 (EST)

Merge[edit]

I honestly don't think this is needed as a separate page; it's just a minor glitch with little gameplay relevance which can be summed up as a single paragraph in the Cape page. -Menshay (talk) 10:25, 6 April 2017 (EDT)

Support. Not much else to say, since you already said everything that needed to be said. John John3637881 Signature.png HUAH! 10:45, 6 April 2017 (EDT)

Being short in text is never a problem of why it doesn't hold up as an article. However, the technique seems to be of very little use anywhere and is not notable. Support. MHStarCraft Mega Man X SNES sprite.png 13:46, 6 April 2017 (EDT)

Between its lack of length and the fact that it's about a glitch categorizable towards a certain move that applies for all games it's been in....does anyone NOT support the merging? Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 18:33, 8 April 2017 (EDT)
