Charizard is a pokemon appearing in all three Smash Bros. games. In the pokemon franchise Charmander, which evolves into Charizard, is a starter Pokemon in 5 games. Charizard was also a prominent character in the early seasons of the Pokemon anime.
Super Smash Bros.
In the original game Charizard can appear if the pokeball item is thrown. Charizard will come out of the pokeball and use flamethrower, alternating to the left and right sides until he disappears.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
In this game Charizard returns in the pokeball item and uses flamethrower in the same manner.
Charizard also appears as a trophy in this game.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Charizard will appear as a character along with Ivysaur and Squirtle as the Pokemon Trainer's pokemon.
