Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade (ファイアーエムブレム 封印の剣, Faiā Emuburemu: Fūin no Tsurugi) is a Japanese tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It is the sixth game in the Fire Emblem series and the first of three games in the series that have appeared on Nintendo's Game Boy Advance handheld. It was the last game in the series to be released exclusively in Japan.

Trivia
*Prior to being listed as "Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade" in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Japanese subtitle "Fuuin no Tsurugi" did not have  an official English translation sanctioned by Nintendo. Because of this, the game is also commonly referred to by English speakers with the common unofficial translations: "Sealed Sword" and "Sword of Seals".

*The main hero, Roy, made a cameo appearance as a child at the end of Fire Emblem (the prequel to Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade). Because Fire Emblem (: Rekka no Ken in Japan) was the first in the series to be released outside Japan, the significance of Roy's appearance is largely missed.

*Roy was included as a secret playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee to promote the game's then-upcoming release in Japan.
