It was released in Japan on April 27, 1997, in North America on July 1, 1997, and in Europe on October 20, 1997. It marks Wolf O'Donnell's debut to the Star Fox series.
Super Smash Bros. series
The music from the Sector Z and Venom stages were originally from Star Fox 64. Also, a trophy of this game's Andross can be collected in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
